White WinesThroughout the years, Black Swan Wines have won numerous regional and state awards and medals, the best being a trophy & gold medals in 2002 for the region’s “Best Reds – our Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Nearly all of this boutique estate’s fruit is grown from large sturdy “pensioner” vines (65 years old) producing wine grapes which are fruit & flavour driven. The properties rich loamy soil is rich in nutrients & minerals which are vital to quality growth of the wine grapes. Prior to harvest, the vines are thinned & stripped of any secondary fruiting to ensure maximum quality of the new season fruit. Harvesting & sorting is done by hand so only the best grapes are selected for the season’s vintage. Winemaker – John Griffiths (Faber Wines)
2011 Chardonnay
A dry and light unwooded Chardonnay, with a nose of lemon & limes.
A zingy lifted palate’ of melons & stone fruit with a crisp flinty acid finish. Suggested foods – Lamb, seafood, pasta, risottos & warm salads
2012 Wooded Chardonnay
On French oak for 6 months, this Chardonnay possesses a mouth filling combination of stone fruit and marmalade flavours with a soft toasty finish.

2012 Sauvignon Blanc
Using fruit grown in Dardanup, the wine gives the nose a dominance of green apples and apples, followed by a mouth fill of voracious citrus and a balanced acid finish. Suggested foods – Chicken, lamb, seafood, pork, pastas &, risottos
2010 Classic White
A blend of old vine Chenin & Chardonnay, producing an easy drinking wine with a nose of passion fruit, paw paw & tropical fruits, contrasted back onto the palate with a zesty lemon and crisp fresh finish. Suggested foods – Chicken, seafood, pork, warm salads & risottos
2012 Chenin
Old vine Chenin, left on later on the vine, producing a nose of pineapple, lime & guava leaving you with a “party” on your palate Suggested foods – Asian, chicken, seafood & soft cheese
2010 Late Harvest Chenin
Old vine Chenin, harvested towards the end of vintage, resulting with a wine delivering an initial burst of palate sweetness of a tropical fruit salad. This is than followed with a zesty lemon/lime finish. Suggested foods – Asian, chicken, risottos, seafood, pork & soft cheese
2012 Rosé
Using Cabernet Sauvignon fruit with skin contact for 24 hours resulting in a strawberry colored wine with a light fresh & crisp beginning & a delicate sweet red berry palate with a hint of confectionery Suggested foods – Lamb, Thai food, curries, seafood, risottos & fruity desserts
Black Swan Chenin Methode’ Champenoise
Made to the true “Champagne” sparkling wine tradition, with our own love & tenacity, and now, with an abundance of excitement, we bring to you our first “Methode’ Champenoise” wine using Chenin fruit off our pensioner vines (65 years old). Delicate beads tickle the nose, followed with apples and a full medium palate of autumn fruits with a clean crisp finish. Suggested foods – Everything!!
